ALAVERDI HUB
Sustainable Development in Rural Armenia
A paradigmatic developmental strategy for securing and reskilling populations in rural cities in Armenia which are currently suffering from depopulation and industry transformation.
Project Overview
Our strategy monetizes a region’s tourism market to encourage historical preservation, reskills heavy industry workers into robust and certifiable artisanal production, and reinforces regional culture by showcasing its intellectual, natural, and architectural qualities.

Partners
Our initiative relies on firm partnerships with institutions which share our core, fundamental beliefs of sustainable development, regional empowerment, and cultural preservation. These relationships give us access to knowledge and tested techniques which can broaden the impact of Alaverdi Hub

Alaverdi
Alaverdi is a city with a population of approximately 14,000, in the northernmost Armenian province of Lori. It lies along the main infrastructural highway between Armenia and Georgia and has a predominantly mountainous geography.
